Mayani 7 Stars Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Mayani in the Khatav Taluka of Satara. We operate from Rajkumar Tukaram Deshmukh’s place. Satara is a good place to be but farming here has its own set of challenges that we deal with every season. We aren't some big city business. We are just local farmers who decided to come together under this name. The 7 Stars part sounds fancy but we are just regular people working the soil. Most of us have been in Mayani for generations. We know the land and we know each other. When we meet at Rajkumar’s, it’s usually to figure out the next steps for our crops or to see how we can help each other out. The weather in Maharashtra can be unpredictable so having this group helps us feel a bit more secure. We don't have a polished front desk or anything. It is mostly just muddy boots and practical talk about the day's work. Khatav is where our lives are. We spend our mornings in the fields and our evenings talking about what happened. This company is a simple way for us to work as one unit instead of everyone struggling on their own. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure we are doing the best we can with what we have got. It’s a lot of work but it’s our life.
