We are located in Kavathepiran, which is part of the Miraj Taluka here in Sangli. Long Acres Farmer Producer Company Limited isn't some big city office with glass walls. We work out of Vijay Jagannath Vale’s place. It’s much easier to run things from where we actually live and work. In this part of Maharashtra, everyone knows each other’s business anyway, especially when it comes to farming. We decided to get together as a producer group because trying to sell your harvest or buy supplies on your own is getting too expensive. It’s hard to make ends meet when you're just one person. We spend a lot of time sitting around talking about the weather and the market. Some days are good, some are pretty frustrating. We don't use big words or have fancy brochures. We just want to make sure the farmers in Sangli get a decent deal. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. If you come by Kavathepiran, you'll see us busy with the daily chores. We’ve been here a long time, and this company is just our way of making sure we can keep doing what we do. It’s not about getting rich quick, it’s just about survival and helping the local families stay on their feet.
