Indraveer Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Piral, which is in the Radhanagari area of Kolhapur. We operate out of Amarendra Pandurag Misal’s place. If you know this part of Kolhapur, you know it’s green but the terrain can be tricky for farming. We have a lot of hills and the water flows fast when it rains. We decided to form this company so we could buy things like seeds and feed in bulk. It saves us a bit of money, which is hard to come by these days. We aren’t a big corporate office with people in suits. We are usually in our field clothes, covered in a bit of mud or dust. Radhanagari is a beautiful place, but the farming work is backbreaking. We spend a lot of time checking on each other’s fields. When the harvest comes, we all get together to figure out the best way to move it. Sometimes the trucks don't show up on time and we have to scramble. It’s just life in the village. We started this with just a few families and now more people are asking to join. We don't have a big plan, we just want to get through each season without losing money. It’s about survival and trying to keep our traditions alive while the world changes around us. We do our own work and we don't ask for much. Just a fair price and a bit of luck with the rain.
