Dhankauda Block 4S4R Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Sankarma, over in the Sambalpur area. We work out of Murari Prasad Purohit’s place. We are a group from the Dhankauda block who realized that we were all facing the same struggles with our crops and the local markets. So, we put our names together and formed this company. It’s more of a community group than a business in the traditional sense. We don't have fancy furniture or a big reception desk. Most of our meetings happen in the yard or a small room filled with seed samples. We talk about the soil, the water from the canal, and what we should plant next. Sambalpur is a good place for farming, but it still takes a lot of grit to make it work. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or using big words that don't mean much to a person in the field. We just want to make sure that our families can keep going. If a neighbor has a problem with their harvest, we try to see if the group can help out. It's about being practical and honest. Some years are better than others, and we’ve seen plenty of both. We’re just regular people from Sankarma who know that staying together is better than being apart. You won't find any polished marketing here, just real talk about farming and the life that goes with it in our block.
