Ghanteswari Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here at Chintamani Parida’s place near Boxma in Kuchinda. It’s mostly just a group of us who got together to try and handle our farming stuff under the name Ghanteswari Farmers Producer Company Limited. It started because things weren't going too well on our own. Now we sit around and talk about the seeds and the rain. Sometimes the weather doesn't help at all. We spend a lot of time on the dusty roads around the PS-Kuchinda area. Most people here know us by name anyway. We don't have a big office or anything, just the usual spot. We try to get the harvest sorted and see who needs what. It’s hard work, to be honest. Some days are long and you just want to go home. We’re just trying to get a fair price for what we grow. There’s a lot of paperwork which none of us really like doing but it’s part of the job now. We’ve been around this part of the village for a while. You can find us if you ask around for the Parida house. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks and some sacks of grain. We talk about the crops and how to make things move faster. Everyone puts in their bit. Sometimes we disagree on things but that’s how it goes when you have a lot of farmers in one room. It’s just how things are for us in Boxma.
