Our shop is right on the main road in Lathor, very close to the SBI Bank. It is a good location because almost everyone in town passes by here when they go to do their banking. We deal in various goods, mostly trading whatever things are in demand in our local market. The shop is often full of large sacks and cardboard boxes piled up toward the ceiling. It can be a bit of a struggle to find a specific item sometimes, but we generally know where everything is. We spend a lot of our time talking to farmers and other traders who come in to buy or sell their stuff. There is always a lot of talking and checking the latest prices on the market. The dust from the road outside settles on everything, so we have to wipe the counter down all the time. We have a couple of old wooden benches outside where people sit and chat while they wait for their turn. It is a very informal place. We don't use computers for any of the billing; it is all done by hand in our paper registers. Sometimes when the weather gets bad, the road in front of us floods and things slow down. But usually, it is quite active from the morning until we close late in the evening. We live nearby, so the shop feels like a second home and we are quite content with that.
