Sri Sakthi Sai Primary & Nursery School

We are a small school located in Selliampalayam, right in the Minnampalli area of Salem. It’s mostly primary and nursery age kids here, so it gets pretty loud during the day with all the singing and shouting. The building is painted in bright colors to make it feel a bit more friendly for the little ones who are away from their parents for the first time. We spend a lot of time just managing the energy of forty or fifty children at once. The classrooms have mats on the floor and low tables so they can reach their books and crayons. Being in 636106, we are surrounded by a lot of local houses, so most of our students just walk over with their moms or dads in the morning. Our teachers are patient people, they have to be with kids this young. We don’t have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us, the staff, and the families from the village. Sometimes the rainy season makes the path outside a bit muddy, but we just put down some extra stones and keep going. We have a small area out back where they can play during recess. It’s a humble place, honestly. We just focus on teaching them their ABCs and numbers and making sure they don’t get into too much trouble before their parents come to pick them up at the gate.
