Alpha Kids Pre School

Alpha Kids Pre School is located at No 15/6 on Mettu Mariyamman Koil Street, right in the heart of the Bazaar area in Salem. Because we are in the bazaar, it is always noisy outside with the sounds of shops opening and people shouting. It is a very busy street, but once you step inside our doors, it feels a bit more like a place for children. We have small chairs and tables that are just the right size for the little ones. The floors are covered with mats so the kids don't hurt themselves when they are playing. Since we are in the 636001 area, we get a lot of parents who work in the nearby shops dropping their kids off early in the morning. It can be a bit of a squeeze when everyone arrives at once. We spend most of our day dealing with spilled water and missing shoes, which is just how it goes with kids. The walls are painted with some simple drawings to make it look a bit more cheerful. We don't have a big garden, but we make use of the space we have inside. There is a temple nearby, and sometimes we can hear the bells ringing during our morning session. It is a practical place for busy parents who need someone to look after their children while they are at work in the market. We keep the place clean, though it’s hard with so many tiny feet running around. Our staff mostly live locally.
