National Catering

National Catering is located over at Anantpuri Palkot House on Harmu Road which is a spot that stays pretty loud because of all the traffic passing by. We have a big kitchen area where we handle all the cooking for the events we go to. There are usually several large gas burners going at once and the sound of knives hitting cutting boards starts early in the morning. We go through a lot of vegetables and rice every week. Harmu Road can be a real pain when we are trying to get the food out to a venue because the jams are unpredictable but we usually leave extra early to compensate. We have these massive stainless steel pots that are a real chore to scrub after a long night of cooking dal or curry. The staff is mostly local guys who know their way around a kitchen and they do not mind the heat too much. We do not do anything too flashy or complicated we just stick to the recipes that we know work for large groups of people. Sometimes we are catering three things at once and the storage room looks like a total mess with crates of onions and sacks of flour everywhere. It is a lot of heavy lifting and long hours on our feet but it is the work we have been doing for years.
