Katerers

You can find us at the Bas Complex, right around the Argora Bypass and Argora Chowk. That intersection is always humming with activity, which is good for us. We go by the name Katerers, and we handle a lot of the food needs for local folks. Our spot in the complex is where all the planning happens. We have a small kitchen setup where we do the prep work before heading out to the actual event site. It is a lot of logistics, moving the gas cylinders and the big crates of plates. We use the Argora area as our base because it is easy to reach different neighborhoods from here. We aren't a big, corporate style outfit. If you come by, you'll probably see us in our everyday clothes, maybe drinking a cup of chai while we wait for a delivery. We don't have a slick way of talking to customers. We just tell them what we can make and how much it will cost. The work is physical and sometimes messy, especially when you are dealing with large amounts of oil and spices. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. We just try to be reliable. If we say we will be there at four, we try our best to be there by four, though the Ranchi traffic sometimes has other plans for us. We just keep the stoves burning and the pots moving.
