People usually find us right here in Jagannathpur Bazar. It is a busy spot in Dhurwa, especially on market days when everyone is out. We have been doing the catering work for a good while now. It started small but we just kept going with it. Most days involve a lot of chopping vegetables and getting the big gas burners going early in the morning. Our kitchen gets quite hot when the rice is boiling in those huge metal pots. We handle all sorts of functions, from small family dinners to the bigger weddings people have around Ranchi. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know us from seeing our workers carrying the food containers or setting up tables. It is hard work, standing on your feet for ten hours, but it is what we do. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three orders come in at once, but we manage to get the food packed and sent out. We use the local markets here in Jagannathpur to get what we need. The spices are ground fresh when possible because it makes a difference in the smell of the curries. Our staff lives nearby so they can get here fast if a last-minute job pops up. We just try to make sure the food is ready on time and that there is enough for everyone who shows up to eat.
