Dholakia Pan Mart

We have our little shop, Dholakia Pan Mart, over in J P Market in Dhurwa, Ranchi. It’s a well-known market in this part of the city. We focus mostly on pans and some tobacco products, plus the usual small snacks and cold drinks that people like. It is a small stall, really, but it keeps us on our feet all day. People stop by on their way to work or after they’ve finished their shopping in the main market. Ranchi weather is usually okay, but when it rains, the market gets a bit messy. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we have our set of regulars who come by every single day for their usual. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the counter and the jars of sweets and supplies. It is a simple trade. We spend our time preparing the pans and talking to whoever stops by. Sometimes we run out of change, so we have to ask the neighbor shopkeepers for help. It’s a friendly enough place. We aren't trying to be anything big. Just a local pan mart where you can get what you need and move on. It is how we make our living, and we are content with that. Sometimes the market gets very noisy with all the shouting sellers, but we just focus on our customers and the work at hand.
