Takshashila College of Engineering & Technology is based in Rajkot, postcode 360001. We have been operating this college for a while now, focusing on the technical side of things. The buildings are set up with different labs for the various branches we have. It’s a lot of work keeping the machinery and the computers running properly. Students come from different parts of the city and even from outside Rajkot to attend classes here. We have a canteen where everyone hangs out during the breaks, and it’s usually the loudest part of the campus. The offices are tucked away in the main block where we handle the paperwork and the admissions. We don't go for big, shiny advertisements; we just stick to the curriculum that’s required. There is always a lot of movement on the grounds, with people heading to workshops or the library. We have a gatekeeper who watches the entrance and a small team that cleans the rooms after the day is done. The workshops can get a bit greasy and hot, but that’s just how engineering study goes. We try to keep a steady routine so that the students know what to expect each week. It’s a practical place for people who want to learn how things are built and fixed. We just keep doing our bit here in Rajkot and watching the students move on to their jobs.
