Shri Ganesh Caterers

Living and working near the University Campus on Kalawad Road keeps things interesting. We’re at Ganeshkrupa 42/C. Being around so many students and university staff means there’s always something happening. Shri Ganesh Caterers started small, and we haven't changed the way we do things much since then. The location is great because of all the trees and the wide roads, though Kalawad Road gets really crowded during rush hour. Our kitchen is always humming with the sound of fans and bubbling pots. We’ve had the same neighbors for a long time, so they don’t mind the noise or the smells drifting over. Sometimes we provide food for the small gatherings at the university, and other times it’s for a family nearby. It’s a mix of everything. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big sign. Most people just find us by asking around or seeing our van parked out front. My uncle started this, and now I’m the one making sure the supplies come in on time. It's a lot of coordination, making sure the rice is right and the spice isn't too much. We drink a lot of tea while we work, especially in the afternoons. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what pays the bills and keeps us busy. We like the rhythm of it, from the morning prep to the late-night cleanup. We just focus on the task in front of us today and try to keep everything on schedule.
