Our kitchen is situated on Street Number 5 within the Saurashtra Kalakendra Society, just off Kalavad Road. It’s a quiet residential street, but our place is usually buzzing with activity starting from five in the morning. We have been part of this community for many years and most of the people around here have seen us grow from a tiny home-based setup to what we are now. We don't have a fancy storefront or any big signs. Most of our business comes from word of mouth in the Kalavad Road area. My sister and I handle the day-to-day work, from buying the vegetables at the market to making sure the spices are ground just right. We don't use pre-made pastes or anything like that because you can really taste the difference. It gets a bit chaotic in the kitchen during the wedding season, and sometimes we’re all a bit tired, but seeing a clean plate is what keeps us going. We focus on simple, regional dishes that people grew up eating. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want to cook food that tastes like home. Sometimes we make mistakes with the timing, or a delivery truck gets stuck in traffic, but we always talk to our customers honestly and fix it. We are just local people who love the process of cooking and serving others in our neighborhood.
