Manpraful Caterares

Operating out of Mill Coloney on Railway Station Road keeps us pretty busy. In Wankaner, being near the station means there is always something going on. You can hear the trains coming and going throughout the day while we are in the back prepping. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the energy of the area. Manpraful Caterares has been in this spot for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The kitchen is where we spend almost all our time. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy pots and making sure the supplies are stocked. We get our ingredients from the local markets around here. Sometimes the heat from the big burners makes the whole place feel like an oven, but that’s just part of the job. People in Wankaner know where to find us if they need to talk about an upcoming function. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We focus on the cooking and let the food speak for itself. We don't do much in the way of advertising; mostly, it's just people seeing us around the station road or hearing about us from someone else in the colony. It’s a straightforward life, just making sure the food is ready on time and that everything is clean for the next day of work.
