Dawat Family Restaurant

Our place is located on Sadhuvasvani Main Road, right near University Road in Rajkot. We’re directly opposite Raj Palace, so most people use that as a landmark to find us. It’s a family-run spot, and you can usually tell because things are a bit informal here. We opened Dawat Family Restaurant because we saw a lot of students and families walking around this part of Rajkot looking for a place to sit. The tables are basic wood, and the menu is just a few pages of stuff we know how to cook well. My younger brother handles the front while I stay in the back mostly. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and the lights flicker, but it adds to the character of the place, I guess. We get a lot of noise from University Road, especially in the evenings when everyone is out on their bikes. It’s not a quiet, romantic spot, but it’s good for a quick meal with the kids. We don't use any fancy techniques or anything. It's just traditional cooking like we do at home. Some days are slower than others, and we just sit around drinking tea until someone walks in. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our physical location here. If you're driving down Sadhuvasvani Main Road, look for our sign near the corner. We're usually around from noon until late at night.
