B H Gardi College of Engineering and Technology is situated on Kalavad Road in Rajkot. It’s quite a large campus, and you can’t really miss it if you’re driving out that way. We have a lot of students coming in every day for various engineering courses. The buildings are spread out, so there’s a lot of walking involved between the different blocks. We have workshops filled with tools and labs with all sorts of equipment for the students to use. It’s a noisy place when the machines are running, but that’s expected in an engineering college. The canteen is a popular spot for tea and snacks between classes. We have a faculty team that stays busy with lectures and grading papers. It’s a straightforward academic environment. The library is usually full of people during the exam season, and we have enough books to cover the different branches we teach. We don’t have fancy landscaping, just the necessary buildings and some paved paths. There’s a parking area for the students’ bikes and the staff cars. It gets quite dusty when the wind picks up, which happens a lot in this part of Rajkot. We try to keep the labs organized, but with so many students using them, it’s a constant job. The main goal here is just to get the students through their courses and help them understand the practical side of engineering. It’s a busy, functional place where everyone is just doing their work.
