Ami Catering Service

Our kitchen is at Shriji Krupa 6 in Africa Colony, just off the 150 Feet Ring Road. Ami Catering Service has been operating out of this spot for a long time. It is a residential area, so we try not to be too loud early in the morning, but cooking for a lot of people makes noise. There is always the smell of spices and wood fire in the air around our house. We have big stainless steel vats and long stirring spoons leaning against the walls. The 150 Feet Ring Road is always busy, which makes it easy for us to head out for deliveries in any direction. Our family stays busy chopping vegetables and preparing the masalas from scratch. We do not have a fancy website or anything like that. People usually just hear about us from their neighbors or friends. The kitchen floor is always being scrubbed because things get spilled when you are moving fast. Sometimes we run out of storage space and have to stack the serving trays in the hallway. It is a bit chaotic when a big order is going out, with everyone shouting instructions and checking the clock. We just focus on the food and making sure the containers are packed tight so nothing leaks in the van. Africa Colony is a quiet place except when our delivery van is revving up to leave for a big event across town.
