You’ll find us tucked away in the Ex Serviceman Colony, just off Paud Road near the Kothrud Depot. Kothrud is always a bit of a squeeze with all the shops and the people moving around, but our corner is a little different. It’s located at S No 124. The walk from the depot isn't too long, though it can get dusty when the wind picks up. The school itself is a solid building that’s seen a lot of students pass through its doors over the years. We have these rooms that are plain and simple, meant for sitting down and getting to work. It’s not one of those places with glass walls and air conditioning everywhere. We rely on the fans and the breeze when we can get it. The staff here is mostly local folks who have been around the neighborhood for a while. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the way the traffic flows around the depot at different times of the day. Sometimes the bells from the local temples mix with our own school bells. It’s a lived-in kind of place. There are scuff marks on the walls and the playground has its rough patches, but it feels right. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a spot for learning in a busy part of Pune, where we do our best with what we have every single day. We like the local feel of the neighborhood and how everyone knows each other.
