Aher Mangal Karyalaya

Aher Mangal Karyalaya is located out on Karve Road in the Chinchwad area. It is one of those places that stays quiet for a few days and then suddenly gets very loud when there is a wedding or a big family function. We spend a lot of our time looking at the calendar and checking the big hall. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too decorative on the outside, but it serves the purpose for the local families around here. When there is an event, the whole street knows because of the music and the cars parked along the road. We have to manage the kitchen area and make sure the water supply is okay for the guests. Usually, we are busy moving chairs or talking to the caterers who come in early in the morning. Chinchwad can get quite dusty with the traffic, so cleaning the floors is a never-ending job for us. We don't really do much advertising because people in the neighborhood just know where we are. It’s a local spot where people have been coming for years to celebrate. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but nobody seems to mind once the party starts. We just try to keep the place running and make sure the lights stay on and everyone has enough space to sit and eat their meal together.
