Aasra Biryani House

We’ve been here at Shukrawar Peth for quite some time now, right near the Fadgate Police Station. Most days start early with the smell of rice and spices filling up the small kitchen. It gets pretty hot in there, especially when the big pots of biryani are steaming. People from around Shahu Chowk stop by when they’re hungry for something filling. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just cooking what we know. My hands are usually stained with turmeric by midday. Some customers have been coming since they were kids and now they bring their own families. It's a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but inside it’s just about the food. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the plates are full. You can find us easily if you know where the police station is. The floor gets a bit messy when it rains, but we keep things moving. We use the same recipes we've always used without changing much. It’s just a regular place for regular people. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. If the food is good, people come back, and that's enough for us. It’s just how we run things here in Pune. We close up when the pots are empty, then do it all again the next morning.
