Vintique Concrete

Our workshop is at Plot No. 4/1 in Vitthal Nagar, which is out in Dehu. We are quite close to the Dehu Alandi Road, so it’s easy for people to find us if they are in that part of town. At Vintique Concrete, we work with exactly what the name says. The yard is usually full of bags of cement, molds, and various finished pieces drying in the sun. It’s dusty work, and we all wear old clothes because there’s no way to stay clean when you’re mixing concrete all day. We make different things, mostly for houses and gardens. We aren't a giant factory with big machines; a lot of what we do is done by hand or with smaller mixers. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and things take longer to dry than we planned, which can be a bit of a headache. The office part of the shop is just a small corner with a desk and some photos of things we’ve made before. We don't have a salesperson or anyone like that. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just talk to one of us who has been working out in the yard. We like the feeling of making something solid that lasts a long time. It’s heavy work and it makes your back sore, but seeing a finished piece look good makes it worth it. We just keep things simple and keep pouring. There isn't much more to it than that, really.
