Om Cement Products

If you drive down the Bangalore Highway and look for the Dari Pul, you will find Om Cement Products just down from the bridge. Our location at S.No. 1/1 is pretty much wide open because we need the space for all the heavy concrete stuff we make. It is a dusty business, there is no way around that. Everything from the ground to the office chairs has a light coating of grey on it by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun, pouring molds and waiting for things to set properly. The highway noise is constant with the big trucks roaring past on their way out of Pune. We have a few simple sheds for the mixers and the tools, but most of the action happens out in the yard. It is physical work and it can be quite tiring when the sun is beating down on the highway. We don't have any fancy signs or a big marketing budget. Most people find us because they saw our yard from the road or someone told them we have what they need. We just focus on making sure the cement is mixed right and the products come out solid. When the day is over, we usually wash down the equipment and lock up the gate, tired but ready to do it again tomorrow.
