Universal Construction Machinery & Equipments Ltd is based right here in Wadgaon Bk. It’s been our spot for a long time now. If you know the Pune-411041 area, you probably know where we are located. The yard is usually full of heavy stuff, mostly mixers and lifting gear that’s seen its share of dust and rain. It gets noisy when the guys are testing the engines or moving things around with the crane. We don't really have a fancy front desk with someone in a suit. Most of us just wear what's comfortable for working around grease and heavy metal. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the yard a bit of a challenge with the mud, but we manage. We just focus on keeping the machines in good shape and getting the orders out to the sites where they're needed. It’s a lot of physical work and phone calls back and forth with site managers. Maharashtra is a big place for building things right now, so there is always something going on. We have our routine. We show up early, check what’s ready to go, and deal with whatever broke down the day before. It isn't always smooth, things get delayed or a part is hard to find, but that's just the business. We've got a small crew who knows these machines inside out. Someone is usually making tea in the back corner. It's practical work for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We just keep our heads down and do the job at our Wadgaon Bk location.
