If you go over to Old Sangavi, you’ll find us at Universal Construction Machinery & Equipments Ltd., Pune. We have been in this part of town for a while now. Old Sangavi has its own feel, a bit more lived-in and busy in a local way. Our place isn't hard to find if you’re familiar with the streets here. We deal with the heavy stuff—mixers, lifts, and all the machinery that goes onto a construction site. It’s a lot of metal and noise. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just show up, see what needs to be fixed or shipped, and get to it. The workshop can get pretty greasy, and there is always the sound of someone grinding something or a truck idling outside the gates. It’s a real place where people work with their hands and their tools. We talk to a lot of drivers and site supervisors all day. Some days are slow and we just sit around and talk shop or share a bit of lunch, but most days it’s a bit of a scramble to stay on top of everything. Pune is growing fast, so there’s always a demand for what we do. We like being in Sangavi; it feels like a proper neighborhood where people know each other. We aren't some big faceless company; we’re just the guys who handle the construction gear down the road. It’s plain and simple, just how we like to work. The traffic on the narrow roads can be tough, but we manage.
