Modern Road Makers (Subsidiary Of Irb Infrastructure Ltd)

Modern Road Makers is based near Lonavla, specifically at Varsoli in the Maval area. We are a subsidiary of Irb Infrastructure Ltd, but here on the ground, we are just a team trying to keep the highway projects moving. Our post is Kaivalyadham, and the Pune district weather keeps us on our toes, especially during the monsoon. If you’ve seen the rain in Lonavla, you know how hard it is to build anything that stays put. We deal with a lot of mud and stone. Our work involves a lot of coordination between the surveyors and the crews on the road. It’s not a desk job for most of us. We are usually out in the wind or the rain checking the levels. The office is just a place to grab a tea and look at the blueprints. We don't do fancy presentations. We just show up and see how much progress we can make before the next big downpour. The 410 403 area is beautiful, but the hills make road building a real challenge. We have been working around the Maval taluka for a while now. It’s hard work, and the machines break down sometimes, but we just fix them and keep going. We are just local people and engineers trying to make the travel a bit smoother for everyone. It's a long process but we stay with it day after day. The mountains are tough but the work is steady.
