Universal Const. Machinery & Equip. Ltd. is located over by Khadakwasla R.S. in Pune. Specifically, we are at the place of Ramesh Gopinath Mate. If you know the Khadakwasla area, it’s a bit away from the main city rush, near the dam. We like it out here. We handle construction machinery and equipment, similar to what you’d see on any big site. Our day usually starts early before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of time checking on equipment and making sure everything is ready for use. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have a lot of iron and steel sitting around. Our office is basically a room with a few chairs and a lot of logbooks. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We’re more comfortable in boots than in formal shoes. Being near Pune, there’s always some development happening, so we stay occupied. We know the local contractors and they know where to find us. Sometimes we sit outside and have tea while talking about the work. It’s a simple way of doing business. We don't make big promises or use complicated language. We just provide the machinery that’s needed. It’s hard work, and the weather can be a challenge, but we’ve been doing this for a long time and we’re used to it. The location at Khadakwasla is actually quite nice, especially when the weather is good. We aren't in a hurry like the people in the center of Pune. We take our time to make sure the equipment is serviced properly before it goes out.
