The Tree House

The school is located at Survey No 12 in Karve Nagar. This part of Pune, Hingne Budrukh, has changed a lot lately but we are still here. It’s tucked away a bit. Most people around here know where we are. We have a few different rooms for the different age groups. It’s not a huge campus, but there’s enough space for the kids to move around. We have some trees nearby, which is nice when it's hot. The morning drop-off is always a bit of a rush with cars and rickshaws coming in and out. Our staff is mostly people from the local area who walk or bike to work. We spend our days mostly helping the kids with their activities. Sometimes things get messy with paint or snacks, but we clean it up as we go. The desks are simple and we try to keep the boards updated with whatever the kids are learning that week. It’s not a corporate office, so things aren't always perfect. Sometimes a door creaks or a light needs fixing. We just handle it. Most of the parents are our neighbors, so we see them at the market too. It’s a very local feel here. When it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud. We just keep the kids busy inside until it stops. It’s just a normal day-to-day life at the school in Karve Nagar with the local families.
