Shri Shivaji Maratha Societys Punes Law College

Being located at 425 Shukrawar Peth keeps us right in the middle of everything in Pune. Shri Shivaji Maratha Societys Punes Law College has been around for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but that’s fine with us. Every morning, the street gets crowded with students coming in for their early lectures. The hallways are usually full of people carrying heavy law books or arguing about some case they just read in the library. It’s a serious place but also quite lively in its own way. We have the usual staff rooms and classrooms where the professors do their thing. It’s not like those modern corporate colleges you see in the news; it’s more traditional and grounded. The neighborhood is typical for Pune, with narrow streets and lots of local shops nearby where students go for tea and snacks during their breaks. Inside, there is always the sound of someone typing or pages turning in the study hall. We just try to keep things running smoothly so the students can get their degrees and move on to their legal careers. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but the old walls keep the heat out a little bit. Dealing with paperwork and student schedules takes up most of our time in the main office. It’s just a regular law college doing what it’s supposed to do for the community here in the city. We have been here for years and the routine stays pretty much the same.
