Shahabad Cement Depot

If you find yourself on Sachhapir Street, just look across from the Hanuman Mandir and you’ll see Shop No. 655. That is where we run Shahabad Cement Depot. It’s right off MG Road in the Camp area, so it gets pretty busy around here. The PN Gad Gill showroom is right there too, which makes it easy to explain to people who are trying to find us for the first time. We spend most of our time moving heavy bags and checking orders while the street noise carries on outside. Being across from the temple means we hear the bells and see the crowds on specific days, which adds a bit of life to the workday. The shop itself is a bit tight, packed with stock and a small desk where we handle the billing. It’s not a shiny place, just a workspace that smells like concrete and old paper. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just the guys here making sure the right stacks go to the right people. Some days are slower than others, especially when the weather isn’t cooperating, but we stay open. We’ve got a lot of neighbors on this street and everyone mostly knows each other. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been our home for a long time.
