Our business is mostly about the physical stuff like hauling bamboo poles, heavy cloth, and strings of lights. It is not easy work and we spend most of our time out at different sites rather than sitting in an office. Weddings and local festivals keep us moving. We have piles of fabric in all different colors and boxes of decorations stacked up high. Sometimes the trucks are late or the rain starts just as we are setting up a tent, but we find a way to make it work. It's a lot of climbing ladders and tying knots until everything looks right. We are just local people doing this for the neighborhood. Our hands are usually a bit dusty from the gear. We don't have a big marketing plan or a polished office to show off. People usually find us by word of mouth or by seeing our name on the side of the truck. The work is seasonal, so some months are incredibly hectic while others are slow. During the busy times, we are up before the sun and don't get back until very late. We just keep the gear ready and wait for the next call to come in from someone in the area.
