We are currently set up over at Ghorpadi 73/2. It’s a big patch of ground where we put up the tents and get everything ready for the day. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in this life. We spend hours making sure the ropes are tight and the seating is safe for everyone. It’s not always pretty behind the scenes. There’s a lot of dust and the smell of the outdoors, but that’s just how circus life is. We live and work right here at Ghorpadi. You might see the crew walking around in their regular clothes before the show starts. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Our home is wherever we pitch the tent. It gets tiring moving from place to place, but we’ve been doing it a long time. The kids in the neighborhood usually come by early just to watch us set things up. We try to keep the area tidy, though it’s hard with so many people coming through the gates. Sometimes the lights flicker or the music starts a second late, but we just keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. We don’t promise anything other than what you see when you walk inside 73/2. Just a bunch of us working hard to put on a show and then packing it all up again when the season ends and we move to the next spot.
