We've been here in Nigdi at sector 23 for a good while now. Most days it’s just about making sure the water is clean and the pumps are working like they should. It gets pretty noisy when the school groups come in, but that's just how it is. We spend a lot of time checking the slides and making sure nobody is doing anything too crazy. On hot days, the place gets packed early and we are all on our feet until the sun starts going down. It isn't a fancy place, just a spot for people to cool off. Sometimes the machines act up or we have to fix a leak in the morning before anyone arrives. My cousin helps me out with the gate and we mostly just talk to the regulars who live around here. We don't really do big ads or anything. People just know where we are because they've lived in the neighborhood for years. It is a lot of work keeping the pools clear and the lawn mowed, but it keeps us busy. Some people complain about the noise, but you can't have a park without kids yelling. It’s just life here. We open up, we clean, we watch the water, and then we go home. It’s a simple routine that works for us and keeps the bills paid while giving the local families something to do on the weekends.
