You can find Rajmal & Sons over in Agarwal Colony, which is part of the Bhavani Peth area. This neighborhood is known for its wholesale markets and extremely busy streets. Our building at 798 has been our base for a very long time now. We handle a variety of goods, mostly selling things in bulk to other traders. It’s a place where there are always sacks or wooden crates being moved around on trolleys. The air is often filled with the smell of spices or whatever is being traded that day in the market. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We know most of our customers by name because they’ve been buying from us for decades. We aren't interested in using fancy computers for everything or doing digital marketing. We still keep our records in handwritten books and prefer to talk to people face-to-face. It’s a family run operation, passed down through the years from father to son. There are always people coming in to check the daily prices or negotiate a new deal. It involves a lot of talking and a lot of tea throughout the day. Some days the narrow lanes of Bhavani Peth are so jammed with carts and trucks that it’s hard to get anything in or out of the shop. But we’ve grown used to the chaos. It’s just how things are done here. We aren't a big company, just a local business.
