Mayur Palace

Mayur Palace is situated on L B S Marg in Bhosari, which is right near the Gavhane petrol pump. It is a very busy part of the city, so there is always the sound of horns and engines from the street. We have been running this hall for a long time now. It is a big building, and we do our best to keep it in good shape for the families who book it for their special events. Most of the time, we are hosting weddings or engagement parties. We spend a lot of our day talking to decorators and catering staff who are coming in and out to set things up. The floors are made of stone, which is nice because they stay cool even when it is boiling hot outside. My brother and I take turns staying here. One of us is usually sitting near the entrance to answer questions or show people around the space. We don't really do any advertising; most people just see our big sign when they are filling up their cars with petrol or driving past to work. It is a very straightforward way to run a business. We provide the hall, and the families bring in whatever else they need. We have a kitchen area in the back that we have to scrub down really well after every single event. It is tiring work, and my legs often ache after moving the heavy wooden tables around. But it is what we do, and we like it.
