Kumar Mandap Decorators

We operate out of Hadapsar, specifically near the Annipura Main Road just off Double Road. This area is always growing, and we have seen a lot of changes over the years. Our warehouse is where we keep all the bamboo poles, the heavy curtains, and the metal frames for the mandaps. It is usually a bit dusty because of all the equipment moving in and out. During the wedding season, we are hardly ever at the shop. We are out on some ground or in a hall somewhere, hammering things into place and climbing ladders. It’s physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. We have a crew of local guys who know how to tie knots and stretch fabric so it doesn't sag. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually come by the warehouse or we meet them at the site. We just use what we have to build the structures people need for their ceremonies. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, and we have to rush to cover everything up, but we’ve gotten used to that. It’s a local business, and we know the roads around Hadapsar like the back of our hands. We just keep our heads down and do the work, one setup at a time, until the season ends and we can finally rest for a bit.
