Being located right opposite Sawani Transport is quite useful for a business like ours. We see the big lorries coming and going all day long on the Mumbai-Pune road. Chinchwad is a loud place with all that heavy traffic passing through. We supply various items to the shops and the small factories that are scattered around this area. Our warehouse always seems to be a bit of a mess with crates and plastic wrapping everywhere. We try to keep things organized but when three deliveries arrive at the same time, it just piles up. The noise from the highway is something you never really stop hearing. You just get used to it after a few months. We have a small office desk in the corner where we keep the ledger books. It’s mostly just us and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and loading. The weather in Chinchwad can be a bit unpredictable, so we always worry about the roof leaking when the monsoon hits hard. We've had to move piles of stock away from the walls in a hurry before. People stop by because we're easy to see from the main road. We don't do any advertising. Mostly it is just local people knowing we are here. We often share tea with the drivers from the transport company. They have some interesting stories about their long hauls across the country. It’s a simple way to live.
