Indus International School in Pune is situated out at No. 576 in Bhukum, which falls under Tal. Mulshi. It’s quite a way out from the main city center, so it’s much greener and quieter than most places in Pune. The drive out to Bhukum can be quite nice, especially after the rains when everything is bright green. We have a lot of ground to cover here because the campus is pretty spread out. It takes a lot of work just to keep the grass cut and the buildings maintained in this climate. We have people coming from all over to work here, and the daily commute is just part of the life for us. The school feels a bit like its own little village because it’s so tucked away in Mulshi. We don’t really go for a lot of corporate talk; we’re mostly just busy with the logistics of running a big place like this. There are always repairs to be done or something that needs fixing in one of the blocks. It’s a functional place, even if it looks a bit more impressive than some other schools because of the space we have. Most days are just spent managing the schedules and making sure the facilities are ready for whatever is happening next. It’s a steady job in a beautiful part of the Pune outskirts, and we just keep it going. No need for anything fancy, just keeping the place running.
