Grasim Industries Ltd(Birla Readymix Concrete)

We are based at Antophil Wadala. It's a small spot in Clara Chawl. We handle the readymix concrete side of things here. It gets busy in Mumbai, so we just focus on getting the mix right for the local builds. Most days it's just about managing the trucks and the orders coming in. People around here know where to find us. Room 27 isn't huge but we make it work. It's been a while since we set up here. Sometimes the traffic makes things slow but that's just part of being in Wadala. We mostly deal with the construction guys nearby. They need concrete and we try to get it to them without too much fuss. It's messy work but someone's got to do it. We keep our paperwork in order. The guys on the site are usually in a hurry. We understand how it goes. Every day is a bit different depending on the weather and the roads. We've been part of this neighborhood for a bit now. If you walk past Bhimwadi, you'll probably see us. We don't have fancy offices or anything like that. Just the basics to keep things moving. It’s practical work. We’ve seen a lot of changes around Mumbai-37 lately. More buildings going up every year. It keeps us on our toes. We just show up and do what needs doing. We've been in this specific spot for years now and it feels like home to us.
