Our workshop is located out in Nanekarwadi, which is part of the Chakan area in Pune. If you’ve ever driven through Chakan, you know it’s full of big plants and heavy machinery. We are at Plot No. E/307/5, right in Gat No. 307. At Cosmos Construction Machineries & Equipments Pvt. Ltd., Pune, we deal with exactly what the name suggests. It’s heavy work. There is always something being welded or moved around with a crane. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, but that’s expected in this line of work. Most of our guys come from nearby villages or commute from Pune city, which can be a long ride on the highway. We start early because the sun gets pretty hot out here in the open sheds. We don’t really do fancy meetings. Usually, we just huddle up near the machines and discuss what needs to be fixed or built. It’s a lot of grease and hard work, but we like seeing the finished equipment ready to go out to a construction site. The canteen nearby serves some decent Vada Pav, which keeps us going during the long shifts. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just a reliable place where the machines get built properly. It’s a busy life out here in Chakan, and we just keep at it every day to get things finished.
