Airson Scale Manufacturing Co. is located at J-23 in MIDC Bhosari. If you have been to this part of Pune, you know it is full of manufacturing units. We have been here at this spot for years, and the building has seen better days, but it works for us. We make weighing scales of all sizes. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and parts that haven't been put together yet. It is a bit noisy with the drilling and the sound of metal being moved around. We have a small crew and most of us have been working together for a long time. There is no corporate feel here at all. We just wear our work clothes and get into the projects. Sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit because there are scales everywhere, from the small bench ones to the really big ones. The office is just a small corner with a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that sticks when you try to open it. We don't spend much on marketing or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. Usually, the day starts with tea and a quick talk about what needs to be shipped out. It is a busy life in Bhosari. We just stay focused on the work at hand and don't overthink things. It’s a good way to earn a living.
