P P E M School

P P E M School is in a bit of an interesting spot. We are located upstairs at 161 Mission Street, right next to Casablanca in Muthialpet, Pondicherry. Being in the heart of Pondicherry means we are close to everything. The school is on the upper floor, so you have to head up the stairs to get to us. It’s not a huge campus like you might find outside the city, but we make good use of the space we have. The street below is always busy with people and shops, so there is always something going on. Inside the school, things are a bit more contained. We have our classrooms arranged along the floor. Since we are in an older part of town, the building has that specific character you find in Pondicherry. We don't have a big playground, but the kids manage to find spots to hang out during their breaks. The teachers are local and they know the rhythm of life on Mission Street. We focus on the English medium curriculum. It's a simple setup—desks, chairs, and books. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just a local school in the middle of town helping kids with their lessons every single day. Sometimes the salt air from the coast makes things feel a bit damp, but that’s just life here. We just get on with the teaching and ignore the noise from the street below as much as we can.
