Hymming Birds Montessori School

Our little school is tucked away on Dr. Apathakar Street in the Colas Nagar area of Pondicherry. It is a quiet neighborhood, which is good for the small children who come here every day. We follow the Montessori way, which means the kids spend a lot of time playing with blocks and learning things at their own pace. The building is an old house that we converted into a school, so it has a very cozy and home-like feeling to it. You won't find any long hallways or big lecture halls here. Instead, there are small rooms filled with toys, books, and low tables. The walls are covered with the kids' artwork, which we try to change every few weeks. Our staff are very patient people who enjoy being around children and helping them tie their shoelaces or learn their numbers. During the day, you can hear the sound of singing and laughter coming from the windows. We have a small outdoor area where the kids can run around a bit if the weather isn't too humid. Pondicherry has a certain pace of life, and we try to keep that same gentle energy inside our walls. Parents often drop by to see how their little ones are doing, and we always have time for a quick chat. It is just a simple place for kids to start their journey before they move on to bigger schools. It feels more like a home than a school.
