Aditya Vidyashram Residential School

We are located right here in Poraiyur, just on the outskirts of Villianur in Pondicherry. It is a quiet area, which is usually good for the students who stay with us. Since Aditya Vidyashram Residential School is a place where kids live and learn, things stay busy from early morning until the lights go out at night. We have been part of this community for some time now. The building isn't brand new or anything, but we keep it tidy and functional for the classes. Our teachers mostly live nearby or commute from the main town every day. During the school hours, you can hear the kids out on the playground or doing their lessons in the rooms. We do not use a lot of fancy technology or big words to describe what we do here. We just teach the subjects, look after the kids in the hostel, and make sure they get their meals on time. The food is simple, local stuff mostly. In the evenings, the grounds get a bit noisy with football or cricket games. It feels like a big family some days, especially when we all sit together in the dining hall. The trees around the campus give some nice shade when the sun gets too hot in Pondicherry. We don't try to be something we aren't. It is just a school where children come to get their education and grow up a bit. Most parents around here know us well.
