Shah Ji Restaurant is over in the Akal Complex at Shop No-33. We’re right across from Jaggi Motors in Patiala. It’s a good spot because people always have their cars being worked on and they get hungry while they wait. We’ve been running this place for a bit now, and it’s a lot of work. We aren't trying to be the trendiest place in town or anything. We just have a simple setup with enough chairs for the local crowd. The kitchen is small but we make it work. Patiala is a city that loves its food, and we try to keep up with that in our own small way. You’ll find us there most days, usually busy with something or other. The shop is easy to find once you’re in the Akal Complex area. We don't spend money on big ads or fancy signs. Most people just know us because they’ve walked past or their friend told them about us. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road, but you get used to it. We just focus on the cooking and keeping the place running day to day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We’re just regular people serving food to other regular people. No need to make it more complicated than it really is. We just want to finish the day knowing we did our job.
