Chawla 2

This location is on Ghagga road in Samana. We are situated near the Bhawanigarh chownk, which is a spot most people in Patiala know well. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We call it Chawla 2. The road outside can get a bit dusty with all the trucks and tractors passing by. We start the day by cleaning the front area and getting the stove going. It’s a local spot, nothing fancy or high-end. We don’t have much in the way of a mission statement. We just open the doors and see who comes in from the road. Being near the chownk means there’s always someone stopping by for a quick bite or to rest for a minute. The 147101 area is quiet in some parts but our corner stays fairly active. We’ve seen a lot of faces over the years. Some are regulars who live just down the street on Ghagga road. Others are just passing through Samana on their way somewhere else. We keep the stools ready and the water cold. It’s a simple business. We don’t spend much time on the internet or advertising. Most people just see us as they drive toward Bhawanigarh chownk. The work is repetitive but it’s what we know. We just try to keep the place decent and the food ready for whenever someone walks through the door. It’s a basic way of life here in this part of Patiala. We just show up and keep the kitchen running as best we can.
