Sahni Bakery

Our bakery is right near 22 No. Phatak on Bhupindra Road. It is a good location because people are always crossing the tracks or heading towards the City Centre. We have been baking here for a long time now. You can usually smell the fresh bread and biscuits from down the street if the wind is blowing the right way. It is a small shop, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when too many people come in at once for their evening snacks. We have the usual stuff like cakes, rusk, and those small cookies everyone likes with their tea. We do not use those massive factory machines. It is more hands-on here in the back. My family helps out with the baking and working the counter. We know a lot of the kids who come in after school for a treat. The shelves are usually full in the morning and look pretty bare by the time we close up at night. We do not bother with fancy packaging or ribbons unless someone specifically asks for a birthday party. It is mostly just paper bags and cardboard boxes. The floor is often a bit dusty with flour, but that is just how a bakery is. We just keep doing what we have been doing since we first opened.
