Nitin Rai Architect

Working as an architect in Mandi is a bit different than being in a big metro. My office is located at House No.308 in Sector-5B. It’s a local operation, and I’ve known many of the people who walk through my door for years. We deal with all sorts of projects here, and the terrain around Mandi often makes things interesting. You can't just build the same thing everywhere; you have to look at the land. My name is Nitin Rai, and I spend most of my time trying to balance what a client wants with what the local conditions allow. The office in Sector-5B is pretty basic. We have our computers for the CAD work and a big table for looking at blueprints. It’s often dusty from the site visits, and there’s always a half-empty box of drawing pencils somewhere. I don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, I’m usually the one picking it up. It keeps me connected to everything that’s going on. People around here value honesty, so I try to be very clear about costs and timelines right from the start. Building something is a big investment for anyone, and I take that seriously. It’s not just about the drawings; it’s about making sure the final structure is something the owner can actually live in or use. It’s hard work, but seeing a building come together is always worth it. We just keep at it, making sure the plans are solid and the work is moving along as it should.
