Gupta Kritika Architect

Gupta Kritika Architect is situated over at the Rimt College of Architecture, which is near the Floating Restaurant in Mandi Gobindgarh. It is an interesting spot to be because of the college atmosphere and the landmark of the restaurant nearby. We are surrounded by students and other people interested in design, so there is always some kind of conversation about buildings happening. The office is a functional space where we keep our tools and our computers. It feels very connected to the academic side of things but we are focused on the practical work too. We have a few windows that let in some natural light, which is good for looking at colors and textures. The area can get a bit congested during certain times of the day, but it’s generally a pleasant place to spend eight or nine hours. We have a lot of sketches pinned to the walls and some models sitting on the windowsills that have gathered a bit of dust. It is not a corporate environment at all. It’s more like a workshop where we try out different ideas. Sometimes we go over to the restaurant area for a change of scenery during our break. Mandi Gobindgarh has its own pace, and we just fit into that rhythm. We don't use fancy titles or have big meetings; we just sit down and work on whatever project is currently on the table until it’s finished.
